Happy Tuesday!
I just got back from SPIN and I feel amazing!
I have to say that I backed off of my workouts a bit last week, I was really starting to feel TIRED–enough so that my body was screaming SLOW DOOOOOOWN! So I did!
Last night was actually the most relaxed night I’ve had in a really long time. I came home from work with every intention of going to the gym; however, I was so exhausted that I could barely get off of the couch–it was a rest night for sure! I went up to bed at 7…that’s right 7! This morning I felt amazing and that break was exactly what I needed–It wasn’t just from the gym but from EVERYTHING! Sometimes I think we all need to just disconnect and relax–I did and it worked. I kicked major butt in Spin class today though
felt so good!
Before I went to class I had a Green Smoothie
- Spinach
- Oats
- Almond Milk
- Flaxseed
- 1/2 Frozen Banana
- A few pieces of frozen Pineapple
I also snacked on some DELICIOUS guacamole The Boo made today. He put JUST enough garlic in it (that’s my favorite part–the more garlic, the better) along with some onions and lime juice. I got to dig in with these yummy chips
Sorry for the flash!
The Mexi-Snax promise:

No preservatives

And above all else…GREAT TASTE
They made an awesome Guac dipper
Check out their website! These particular “snax” were Gluten Free and if you go to their website! it’s pretty interesting and reassuring to read about their production process!
Since I missed a few days of blogging last week, I HAVE to show you guys the awesome meal The Boo made!
Sooooo good! Salmon, Asparagus, Spinach & Capers! Just as yummy as it looked
Thanks Boo!

CAPERS!!!!!!!!!! Yum!!
Sounds like you had a little bit of overtraining syndrome last week…good for you for listening to your body and giving it a break! We make ourselves stronger when we rest our bodies.
I think I might be taking my first spin class today! There is a class at 1 if I can get my studying done…I’m a little nervous!

glad you had a good restful night. we all need those sometimes!
I’m glad you had such a relaxing night. They are the best!
That happens to me a lot…I’ll work out on consecutive days and then all of sudden feel like I’m super unfit, low energy, and can’t handle any physical activity. Then I take a day off and my energy levels are sky high and all is well. Sometimes it just takes a good ol’ break!!!
You’re right, sometimes you just need a night off! Hope you’re feeling well-rested today :O)
Glad to hear you listened to your body and got some much-needed rest! That guac sure does look good!
Yay for you for listening to your body when it told you to sloooow it down! And yay for spin class!! Oh, and YAY for your Boo…he seems like a catch!
I think I need to give spin class a shot. I know that it is a killer workout, but it kind of terrifies me, lol.
I hear you about feeling a bit worn out. I was starting to feel that way and listened to my body yesterday and took it easy. It felt dang good too!
Glad you listened to your body! Sometimes a day off is exactly what the body needs! mmm green monster- I haven’t had one in forever. And I’m all for anything mexican hehe. Hope you’re having a good Wednesday
Your guac looks soooo good! Awww, how sweet of the Boo to make dinner! And he did a fabulous job!
I’m glad you are feeling rested… It’s so important to listen to our bodies and do what’s right… The salmon dinner looks sooo good!
Mmm, quac. I haven’t had an avocado in awhile, i should get on that! How neat was that olive oil tasting! fun fun, glad you got some rest
Dude your Boo is clutch. That guac looks insanely good! And those chips make for excellent scoopability
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Can’t wait to read more of yours. Now I have a craving for guac and blue chips, probably one of my favorite snacks ever
I don’t usually like chips or capers, but both of those look incredible right now. Yay guacamole
salmon with capers…ooh lala! And I’m glad you took a good rest! Sometimes your body just needs a break too!
that salmon dish looks fantastic. who is this Boo character and where do i find one for myself??
I love love love spin classes! Some tasty guac would be great once I got home from a class
Those chips look yum.. I have never seen that brand before! Sometimes our bods just need a rest! You did the right thing
Yeah don’t feel guilty for having your rest night. I was supposed to go for a run yesterday morning, but slept in majorly (an extra three hours) and missed my run. At first I was beating myself up, but then I realized, man I must have been tired if I slept that much longer, I guess my body needed it.
Love your blog! just found you! your pics are beautifully taken, so clear its like watching HD tv LOL
I am spin obsessed so I am so happy you had a great spin class!!
green monstahhhh looks great!!!
It’s important for us to have our rest time, I also had to take a break last week, and now catching up and have a lot more energy for sure. Green smoothie sounds excellent and I love the blue chips!
