I’m coming up on my 10th month not smoking and I’m still going strong, still very happy about the decision I made. Physically I feel fantastic—never better, really.
Now I know that I’m still young and my skin will hopefully have plenty of time to recover from all of the damage I’ve caused it, but who wants smoker wrinkles? I know I don’t—anything I can do to prevent them, I will!
But really, I feel that I should be taking care of the outside just as well as I’ve been trying to take care of the inside—And because I smoked for so many years and probably aged myself a few more, I’d like to take extra care now and prevent whatever I can.
I have super sensitive skin so I skimp out on the moisturizer at times because I’m afraid it’ll make me break out, but I’m dedicated to making sure I stay lookin as young as I feel
and moisturizer, I’ve heard is the key! So I will do what it takes…every morning and every night I will be fighting the smoker wrinkles and trying to find a brand that Is suitable for my oh so sensitive skin.
Any suggestions? I would love to hear about your preferred moisturizers!

Sooo I made Spaghetti Squash last night because I had an idea that I wanted to make today–earlier this week my dad made a pasta salad that turned out to be……well not so good.Sorry Dad!
So of course I thought that I could make a better and healthier one using Spaghetti Squash and other random veggies.
The whole things looked pretty gross interesting. I’m going to let it sit in the fridge overnight and see what I think about it tomorrow when it’s all nice and cold! So I packed it up

No gym for me tonight–I did another living room workout.
-
100 bicycle crunches
-
2×12 lunges with 8LB bicep curl
-
2×12 one-legged deadlifts
-
side planks
-
2×12 burpees <—-HATE these!
-
3×10 squats w/front raises
-
dumbbell side bends
Completely random but it was nice to stay home tonight and not rush out to the gym. Shared some popcorn with The Boo

and now I’m off to bed!

congrats on quieting smoking. it’s hard to stop any kind of addition.
in term of skin, check out a book called the skin type solution. I did a review on it because i really liked it and it helped me a lot!
10 months no smoking is a great thing!
Check out this site for great product reviews-

I use clinique’s moisturizer (Not sure what it’s called but it’s yellow) but I’ve heard St. Ives has a really good one too. I’m thinking of trying it out next. I’ll let you know if I do!
i use the clinique 3 step skin care on my skin… its the only thing i’ve found that doesn’t feel overly oily and also has soap that doesn’t over dry my skin… i love it!
congratulations on being 10 months smoke free! I’ve used the clinique one in the past, but as long as you get one that is oil free it won’t be too greasy.
I am all about living room workouts =)
Congrats on being 10 months smoke-free! That is truly an amazing thing.
I am on the lookout for good moisturizers, too. My skin is dry, dry, dry…I’m learning that is bad when you’re trying to prevent wrinkles!!!
I used to use Clinique when I had more $$$ Now I use Oil of Olay. I use the sensitive skin spf 15 for the day and use the thicker cream at night. Both products cost around $7 and honestly I think they work great!
Great job on the non smoking…your body inside and out thanks you!

Congratulations and good luck on quitting smoking!!
I have extremely dry skin and really like Burts Bees moisturizers. I also like that they don’t contain harsh chemicals.
I love Oil of Olay, but I know people who hate it. I think it’s super important to just go with what works best for your specific skin type. And it’s fun to try a few out :O)
Congrats on the 10 months of being smoke free! That’s amazing!
You rock girl! 10 months is just awesome. Love love spaghetti squash. One of my favorite meals. Hope your day is treating you well and that you are CELEBRATING yourself
I’m so proud of you with your commitment to live a tobacco-free life!
You have beautiful skin.
Congrats on 10 months, that’s amazing! As far as facial moisturizers go, Olay is pretty good (and reasonably priced!). Try to look for something that has a little sun protection (I think mine is SPF 15).
10 Months!? awesome!
My mom and I both have extremely sensitive skin and we use:
Lubriderm
&
The Equate (walmart brand) daily moisturizer that says “Compare to Aveeno”. I actually like the walmart stuff better!
You are totally awesome. 10 months down is such an amazing accomplishment! Wow I’m so so so so happy for you. I worked with an esthetician this summer and she said that even the ‘nice’ brands of moisturizers on shelves are no good. They use cheap ingredients that dry our your skin further so that in turn you use their product some more and then soon enough you’ll be done and ready to buy another bottle.
Moisturizer can be SO expensive but it is SO worth the investment!!
girl-CONGRATS on the smoking thing..that takes major determination
Congrats on not smoking…awesome! I used to work for Prescriptives and they have great skincare….good for sensitive skin. Go check it out!
Congratulations on 10 months … that’s awesome!!
i use clinique – it’s expensive but worth it in my opinion. you don’t want to be putting crap on your face, ya know?
congratulations on 10 months of being cigarette-free!
